Spotsylvania, VA – Strong conservative, faithful Christian, government contractor, and family man, Phillip Scott announced his candidacy today for the 88th District in the Virginia House of Delegates, seeking the Republican nomination.
Phillip Scott added, “After thoughtful prayers and discussions with my family, I have decided to seek the Republican nomination for the 88th District. After Delegate Cole’s relentless conservative leadership in Richmond throughout the years, I will continue in his footsteps by fighting for my constituents, fighting to lower our taxes, bring more business to Virginia, protecting our First and Second Amendment rights, and consistently protecting the life of the unborn. I look forward to being your voice in Richmond and becoming the Delegate from Spotsylvania.”
Phillip Scott is a government contractor, passionate Christian, and lifelong conservative. Phillip attended Word of Life Bible Institute and Liberty University. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership, a Juris Masters, and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Public Policy specializing in National Security. He has served his local community by joining the Board of Directors of his POA and served two terms in various roles including Treasurer and President. Additionally, he serves on the Spotsylvania County Citizens Budget Review Committee.
Phillip has lived in the Fredericksburg area for nearly twenty-five years. He currently resides in Spotsylvania with his wife, Elisabeth, and his four daughters, Alaina, Lydia, Julia, Brianna. Phillip has always wanted to be a father and raise a family. He is living that dream out. He has four daughters, including a set of twins and a daughter with Edwards Syndrome. The family often spends time on walks together in their quiet neighborhood or the surrounding national battlefield parks. They also enjoy bike rides and outings to Old Town Fredericksburg. Phillip and his wife teach their children at home with the virtual K12 program provided through Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
